Dog Food Asda

Jack Russell Info please.?
I am planning to buy a Jack Russell so I would need to know about them.
Do they need the normal dog food found in Tescos or Asda? (Im in london,UK)
In general, are they good pets with children and adults?
Do they need daily long walks or how many times a week should I take him out on a walk and for how long?
Do they need chew toys like a bone or something?
Any more tips or information are also accepted like how to car for them.
Thank you!
I love Jack Russells but I would only buy a puppy where the parents or at least the mother was available to see. I would want the parents to be friendly and not nervous. I wouldn’t recommend you get one any later than 8 weeks old either and make sure it is well socialised with people and other dogs. Avoid Jack’s from working stock, they aren’t happy being pets.
They need lots and lots of exercise, my 16 year old still needs two half hour walks a day. A 6 month + Jack will need at least the same if not double that amount. They need to learn some good manners but not through harsh training as you’ll get bitten. They are usually bold and fun little dogs but you must research the breed and bring them up properly.
They need lots of play and chew toys like all puppies. I think supermarket food is usually rubbish. James wellbeloved, Burns or Hills dry food would be best. A 3kg bag should last you a month and that would cost you approx £8-£10. I would avoid using meat in large quantities because they poo more when fed this diet.
If you can’t offer a very active lifestyle for this breed of dog for the next 15 years, don’t. They are a nightmare if under stimulated. A King charles or poodle type would be better if not.
Good luck
