MOST RECOMMENDED DOG FOOD FOR POMERANIANS?
WELL I DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT WHAT SHOULD BE IN A DOG’S DIET.
SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW WHAT KIND OF DOG FOOD I CAN BUY.
I THINK $40 FOR AN 8 OZ BAG OF DOG FOOD IS TOO MUCH FOR ME RIGHT NOW.
HE WAS PREVIOUSLY ON “LIFE’S ABUNDANCE HEALTH DOG FOOD FOR ADULTS AND PUPPIES”
I’VE READ REVIEWS ABOUT IT AND I KNOW IT’S GOOD.
BUT I FIND IT A LITTLE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME RIGHT NOW.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY PREFERENCES, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
@aphrodite: WELL I READ THAT GRAINS AREN’T NATURAL IN A DOG’S DIET. THAT MEAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MAIN SUPPLEMENT IN THEIR DIET. AND FILLERS ARE BAD TOO. THAT THEY NEED FOOD AND NUTRIENTS AND VITAMANS. NOT FILLERS.
AND IM USED TO USING ALL CAPS. IT’S EASIER/FASTER FOR ME WHEN IM HERE AT WORK
Actually, the best dog food to feed ANY dog is the raw meat diet. It’s what they would eat in the wild, and it’s proven to help them live longer, have little to no health problems, teeth are clean and white, gums are pink and healthy, skin and coat is healthy.
But other than that, good brands are:
Blue Buffalo, Innova, Evo, Canidae, Merrick.
Blue Buffalo can be found at PetSmart. Just go to one of the workers and ask for a good, healthy, quality dog food.
STAY AWAY from any Hill’s product(Science Diet included), Purina, Pedigree, Beneful… A lot of the foods you’d find at a vet. Vets only prescribe the food that is paying them. Hill’s is paying our vets, so I have to sit in room listening to how “Hill’s products are proven…” blah blah blah. I don’t believe it, haha. You have to look at the ingredients.
