Eukanuba Dog Food Ingredients List

what dog food is good, what is bad?

i feed my dog Eukanuba, i have read the ingredients, all looks good, meat is high on the list with chicken, there were a few by-products but they were low on the list and not that many of them, but some people seem to think it is a shit supermarket brand, in australia you can only get it from petshops, but i still don’t understand what is wrong with it
he doesn’t just get dry biscuits i give him cans of tuna or salmon with his meals too

If I had to feed a Eukanuba product it would be the new Naturally Wild, which is an effort on their part to do a more natural food – no corn wheat or soy in it, although they could have sone without the sorghum in it. After the pet food recall with the melamine where the FDA had to basically stop Iams, Hills, and Pedigree Mars selling their food when it was killing several pets – I just don’t trust those companies. If I had to feed a food from a large pet food company – it would be Purina – they pulled their dog food that they thought might be a problem even before the FDA recall (it was ALPO and tested clean) and they have never had any major recalls on their food. Also – they use tocepherols as a preservative in a lot of their dog food now. I used to feed Nutro for years until I had an issue with it making my dogs sick (as it was a good company til Pedigree Mars took it over – and I believe some of the Nutro product was affected by salmonella and they chose not to disclose it as too many dogs are getting deathly ill) – had to switch – and switched to Canidae with no problems and they are thriving.
