Fda Iams Dog Food Recall

Did anyone know about the 6 pups that died from eating Iams canned dog food?

I found out on Dogster.com that the pups died from eating Iams canned dog food but there has not been a recall and that the FDA knows about the deaths since Aug 25th. So heads up for anyone using Iams canned dog food!!!!!!
This question is also in the dog catagory. Someone answered they died from aflotoxin.

I personally have been following other dog chat areas where there are more than just iams causing deaths. This recall thing is far from over. These commercial pet food companies are still purchasing their ingredients from China and they have not changed any of their quality control. Many of these pet food companies are only in it for the money not for the well being of our pets.
I still can’t understand why everybody thinks that if it’s sold on the shelves that it is safe…This so not the case. Even if the food isn’t poisoned, the ingredients are slowing killing our pets.
I have been cooking for my dogs and than found out how bad that was. I didn’t realize all of the minerals needed until I talked to a holistic vet, wow was I educated.
I now feed an awesome product.
The pet food that I feed now is formulated by a vet and they have been around for a long time, never a recall. There are no preservatives, chemicals, by-products, dead animals, corn, gluten, soy or wheat in my pet food and my pets look great.
Now that I am educated on pet food I will NEVER go back to commercial pet food again.
You can always email me if you want to what type I feed.
