Iams Dog Food Recalled Dogs

My Dog Ate Iams Wet Food Pack?

I sometimes mix in the wet Iams food packs in with my dogs dry food. I heard about the recall on last Friday 3/16. She had last eaten it on Wednesday (3/14) and not since then. It has been a week and she is showing no signs of being sick, she is very active, no vomit and eating fine.

She is also about 50lbs. (17months old) I called the Vet and they said to look for those things wrong (vomit, lethargic, etc). Is it safe to not worry about it anymore? I obviously wil not give her anything but dry food again.
I acutally just cheked the numbers that are listed on the Iams website and they do not match the ones on her box of food packets. So her most recent box is ok. (Still not going to feed it to her obviously). But she has eaten at least one other box in the past two months that i can remember and we cant check those numbers obviously. Well, just have keep a close eye but she seems as good as always.

I fed all my cats the wet Iams, and I saw that one box I had not used yet was part of the recall. So far, my cats are fine, although on Monday 3/19 two of them vomited; that was the day I heard about the recall, and I was totally freaked out, and talked with my vet. They seem fine now, no vomiting, no lethargy, but I would continue to watch your pet. I also stopped feeding wet or canned pet food, and will stick to dry and tuna, which they love. I figure if it is made fit for humans, they can eat it. If anything happens with tuna, we will be sure to know right away! But don’t worry, I am sure your pet will be fine, and I totally understand your concern. Also, just so you know, when animals are sick, you can really tell, they stop all activity, they won’t eat, etc. You will know, and that is when you call your vet. Take care!
