OKC Annual Dog Show

The OKC annual dog shows are a much anticipated event in Oklahoma City. The Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City plays host to the shows every year. A variety of breeds are brought to the event by their owners. Whether you’re a pet lover or not, you’re sure to love the OKC Summer Classic Dog Shows that take place late June or early July each year.

The 2009 edition of the OKC annual dog shows will be held June 25 through 28 from 8am to 7pm at the Cox Convention Center. Purina is the official sponsor, and the other sponsors are Clear Channel, Pet Smart and the OKC Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. The annual dog shows generally feature competition for the many breeds that participate, behind-the-scenes tours where you can meet up with these fluffy creatures and their owners, and vendor booths that sell related merchandise such as leashes, dog food, beds as well as antiques and jewelry. Tickets cost $7 for adults while children under 12 have to pay only $2. While tickets are available at the Convention Center Box Office, you can also get discount coupons at Little Caesars Pizza.

The OKC annual dog shows are hosted by the Oklahoma City Kennel Club and the Mid-Del-Tinker Kennel Club. There’s plenty in store here for fun-seeking families, adults and kids alike.
