Purina Dog Food Plant
What do you all think of this?
600 tons of pets in the rendering plants. Full of cats and dogs they still have collars and tags and sleep medication in them. All of this is in IAMS, Purina, Pedigree. And abny other grocery store brand dog foods. What do you think of this all?

P.S , I feed canidae and that is all I will ever feed them.
I’m curious as to where you got the information that domestic cats and dogs with “sleep medication” (I’m guessing you mean the drugs used to put animals to sleep) is in the specific brands you named.
Which specific rendering plants include these animals? Which specific foods are excluded, positively, from these rendering plants with domestic animals?
The article you cited talks about by products and rendering exported to Asia and that because of mad cow scare in U.S. market, rendered downer animals and domestic are piling up.
When the food recalls started, I specifically wrote to the company that makes my dog’s food and they answered specifically. I asked if any animals besides venison were used in their food. They stated that there was NOT. (They eat Nature’s Recipe Venison and Rice or other game formulas of food.) I do worry that downer animals are used in a lot of foods, but the dog foods do concern me.
That’s why I’m asking if you can cite the link to the brand name foods you have listed, to any rendered product including cats and dogs.
I agree that there is a lot of junk food out there, and any pre-bagged food, I believe should be supplemented with some fresh foods healthy for dogs.
