Help! I have a picky eater on my hands…?

My 1 year old Yorkie/Poodle mix won’t eat her food! I worry that since she’s still growing (just turn 1); that she won’t get all the nutrients that she needs because sometimes she won’t eat her dry food at all for a day. She’s currently on the Innova adult dry food. I’m considering adding an organic can food to her diet this way maybe she’ll find her food more tasty; but I also have some reservations about can foods. I recently watched the Rachael Ray Feed Your Pets episode on Food Network & she talked about “Evangers” natural foods; I’m thinking of trying for my dog.

Do you give in when she doesn’t eat and give her something else? A healthy dog will not starve itself. Don’t give in. Put down her food at a scheduled feeding times … she gets 20 minutes to eat. Whatever is not eaten gets thrown out and no more food until next scheduled feeding time. She’ll learn real quick that the dog food is all you’ll give her, and she’ll eat.
