Science Diet cat food — possibly making our kitten sick?

Has anyone else heard of a problem like this? It’s the dry kind, for kittens. I’d noticed that she had been having some digestive problems (she barfed and seemed to have the runs when we first got her) and I wonder if it’s related to that food, because when I fed her something else, she seemed to improve, but then yesterday she got sick again, and I found that my wife had given her some of the Science Diet again. What in the food might be causing this? Are there certain ingredients to avoid in dry cat food?

Science Diet is a very poor quality cat food. One of the main ingredients is corn, which cats are not able to digest.

Avoid corn, and by-products. Some brands I have had good luck with include Wellness, Innovo, Avoderm, and Chicken Soup.
