Science Diet Cat Food Pouches

Question about wet food for kittens/cats.?

Ok, i feed our adorable 4mnth old baby both wet and dry food. Dry is science diet and wet is purina friskies in the 3 oz. pouches. She absolutely loves it! but being that this is our first kitty, im curious as to where that particular brand stands among others. Can someone give me a rundown of the best to worst wet cat food? Thank you!

I won’t list brands, as everyone has a preference. But I’ll briefly tell you what you *don’t* want in your food, and then you (and your kitten) can decide. Remember first of all that Nature made cats to eat meat, not grain, so any dry that you feed should not contain corn – it’s a cheap filler with little to no nutritional value for our cats. In both dry and canned, avoid any foods with by-products. That really isn’t meat either – it’s scrap “parts” that have been deemed unfit for human consumption. It’s such questionable things as hides, beaks, tendons, spleens, intestines – you get the idea.

The important thing is to read labels! Many of the more expensive brands of food are just overly-advertised by-products. For the same price you can go to the pet store and feed her a food made from real meat. She’ll be healthier for it!
